The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee has now launched its inquiry into ‘Education and Careers in Land-based Sectors‘.
The inquiry will explore the relationship between education and the land-based industries and the effectiveness of primary, secondary, further and higher education in embedding awareness and equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary.

Questions cover supporting young people and career changers into land-based sectors, effectiveness of the education system in supporting new entrants into land-based sectors, the role of different actors in promoting and supporting careers in land-based sectors, amongst others.
The deadline for written submissions is Friday 3 November.
