Historic Landscapes Past, Present & Future
40 years of Protection and Conservation of Significant Places
Monday 2 October 2023 registration from 9.30am doors open for 10am start to 4.30pm finish
This year we are at the magnificent Hampton Court Palace to learn from people working in significant historic landscapes. Conservation methods will be explored and techniques explained. The event celebrates the 40th anniversary of historic landscapes being protected by being on Historic England’s register of historic parks and gardens.
You will participate in activities designed to help you understand how horticultural skills are used to conserve historic landscapes into the future including the opportunity to meet working shire horses. Talks and panel discussion will be followed by tours of the grounds and then back to hear from emerging talent speakers.
Refreshments provided for the Networking Lunch with time to view information displays and learn more about careers in horticulture.
This event is a joint initiative between the Royal Parks Guild and Historic Royal Palaces in partnership with The Tree Council and their Force for Nature Campaign. The day is free of charge and open to apprentices and trainees working in all aspects of horticulture.
Want to attend? Please fill in this online registration form by the 22 September 2023.
Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
